had such a lovely time….

Dear Claudia, Roger, Linda,

We had such a lovely time in your beautiful B&B and island!!. We found your place very welcoming, so cozy and clean!  We enjoyed our room and everything that came with it : comfortable bed, big bathroom, soft towels, fridge, storage, exfoliant soap, water bottles & colas :) ,  fresh flowers on our 1st day!

We really liked starting our days with the pleasure of your company and the one of your guests & generous and delicious breakfasts! You are inspiring me to do the same with my guests (lovely table setting & dish presentations)!  Thank you for your kindness, tips and good humour!  We will remember our stay for a long time and hope to be back some day, same place!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit with you.  Your place is warm & inviting & we truly felt at home.

We enjoyed St. Croix enormously & highly recommend Virgin Kayak Tours & Kendricks for dinner–

Thanks for all the recommendations you made & for the fabulous breakfasts – When we return to St. Croix we will definitely stay here.

John & Donna, Portsmouth, VA

Surpassed expectations

The Carringtons Inn surpassed our expectations.  Before travelling to St. Croix we researched hotels and inns. This inn is even more delightful than it appeared on line.

We extend our thanks to Claudia, Roger and Linda.  You are delightful people and your hospitality was wonderful.  We felt right at home.

We loved and looked forward to the breakfasts each day. It was a great time to chat with other guests and sometimes join forces with them in daily activities or dinner.

Staying her made our first visit to St. Croix very special.

Janet and Jay, Edgartown, MA

Kiwis living in Vancouver

Dear Claudia & Roger, Thank you again for your outstanding hospitality. It was great to bring Bruce this time to help get through that wonderful pile of french toast! Thanks again for sharing your home with us, making us feel part of the family. Donna & Bruce, kiwis living in Vancouver, Canada.

“Flamboyant” it was.

Dear Claudia, Roger & Linda, Awakening on this, our last morning in St. Croix, to the glowing sliver of the tropical moon, one sparkling star, a singing wind dancing among the palms, peachy-pink ribbons of clouds, second by second transforming to deeper, richer, more opaque shades of mango and papaya, as the sun proudly rose from behind the silhouette of the mountain…. we greet this new day and savor our last taste of paradise before we journey home to Connecticut. Ahhhh! Celebrating our 40th anniversary, our stay at your Bed & Breakfast has been very special and memorable. you welcomed us with warmth and friendship, with fine hospitality, delicious breakfasts and helpful suggestions about places to see, restaurants to enjoy and interesting stories about your island. Our very lovely room with arched balcony overlooking the Christiansted harbor was so pretty, comfortable and cheerful. The views were like paintings to behold, dreamlike at times. The special touches like the handcrafted soaps & the beautiful vase filled with gorgeous, delicate tropical flowers added to the ambiance of your B&B… Lovely throughout with views from many vantage points of the sea and natural surroundings. The calm, peaceful feeling we had while staying here was refreshing and rejuvenating. Thank you for helping to make our marvelous adventure in St. Croix, one we will always cherish. With warm friendship…. Jeanne & Alen, West Hartford, CT.

As always we feel at “home”….

Claudia & Roger, As always, we feel at “home” at the Carringtons Inn. Thanks for your hospitality to Malea & Shera. Malea loved staying overnight in the big bed @ Grammy and Grampy’s hotel. Please come to Dallas to visit someday soon. Love ya. Charlotte & Mark, Dallas, TX.

Our 4th stay, May 06,07,08 & Jan. 2010

Dear Claudia, Roger & Linda, This is our 4th stay at your delightful Bed & Breakfast. Once again we had a great time. Thank you for accommodating Judy’s food challenge due to her Celiac disease. This year we got to know Linda a bit better – we all have a fondness for Armstrong ice cream! Take care and have a successful and prosperous 2010. Judy & Jim, Tucson, AZ.

“Home away from home”

Roger & Claudia, It is always such a joy to return to this wonderful, special piece of paradise. We always enjoy your wonderful breakfasts and hospitality. It was fun to bring our friends to share in our adventures. You make our stay feel like a “home away from home”. We will return and hopefully bring more friends and family. Thanks again. Many Blessings. Namaste. The Powells

Our 7th visit!! Wow!

Thanks Roger, Claudia & Linda for another fabulous vacation. It was great being here for the jump – up and the triathlon and meeting the athletes staying here at Carringtons. See you next year! Sue & Denny, Navane, Fl.

It’s a reflection of home.

Claudia & Roger, Our stay here has been almost beyond words (for me that’s remarkable). Everyday was made special first by God and then by those wonderful breakfasts. Claudia, you are so creative and I must not forget Roger. Great scrambled eggs and bacon. Rain or shine each day spent here has been filled with memories enriched by your thoughtful kindness. This is truly more than a bed and breakfast – it’s a reflection of home. Thank you for all of this. Carol & Jim

It was a singular pleasure….

Dear Claudia & Roger, It was a singular pleasure for Lorita and me to have stayed at you Inn. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The room was beautiful and comfortable and the view made it even more satisfying. We liked the service and the home-like atmosphere. As a well-traveled person, I give you high marks. We certainly will tell all our friends and family about your Inn and will unhesitatingly recommend it to them. Thank you and good luck. Peter & Lorita

A beautiful room…

A really beautiful room – wonderful – exceeded only by the beauty we found in our hosts Claudia & Roger. Thank you both, Peter & Gail.

Thank you….

Claudia & Roger, Thank you for giving us such a warm and memorable experience on our honeymoon. This has been a great way to start our lives together. A million thanks, Stephanie & Jason, Cherry Hill, NJ.

Our first stay at a Bed & Breakfast..

Dear Roger & Claudia, This was our first stay at a Bed & Breakfast. I didn’t know what to expect, but never did I think this experience would be as wonderful as it was. Your hospitality and friendliness surpassed my wildest dreams. Breakfasts were the best kick start to our day. We enjoyed meeting all the other guests, sharing their experiences around the breakfast table, it felt like being home with family around the table in a tropical setting. Claudia thank you for the best soap I’ve ever had in my life. I know they will make great gifts for the girls in our family. Roger, if Mark buys a laptop, I blame you! Ha! Ha!. Linda, Thank you for always keeping our room crisp and fresh. Mark & Rita, Toms River, NJ.

You are so gracious ….

Dear Claudia & Roger, Coming here again felt just like “coming home” —-especially since 3 other guests who were here before ended up here again as well! What a delightful coincidence! Thanks for setting up that reunion —-you did plan it didn’t you? This is truly a bit of heaven for us. Thanks for sharing again. We truly hope “work” calls us to the island again very soon. You are so gracious and helpful. Still think Cruzan toast is THE BEST! love and thanks to you both & Linda! Dorothy & Alex, Bremerton, WA

Your Inn is absolutely gorgeous.

Dear Claudia & Roger, We had an amazing 5th anniversary here in St. Croix! We enjoyed staying at the Inn last year and had even more fun getting to share the experience with our friends, Jamie and Jennifer, that we met on our honeymoon and were also celebrating their 5 year anniversary. Both of you made our stay in St. Croix so special!! Thank you for saving us my favorite breakfast, baked cruzan toast, when we went diving. We enjoyed getting to spend time with Claudia over bowls of banana ice cream. Your Inn is absolutely gorgeous! The flowers and plants are very beautiful, especially the Frangipani. We loved staying in Periwinkle, the room was so pretty in the lilac color. Thank you again for a wonderful stay! We look forward to seeing you again next time we visit St. Croix and Carringtons! Love Laura & Chris, Austin TX.

Thank you for a memorable stay..

Our wonderful accommodations with the spectacular view was topped only by the graciousness of our lovely hosts Claudia & Roger. Thank you for a memorable stay. John & Renee, Joliet, Il

Our first B&B experience

WetFeetTheNovel: Surrounded by Water, We usually select small boutique hotels over the larger branded ones, and we had never been to a B&B. The location of Carrington’s Inn overlooking Christiansted attracted us and we wanted to meet and greet to get a feel for the local flavor of the island. Roger and Claudia Carrington turned out to be nice hosts living the dream of the Caribbean after leaving the Corporate world of the states. The shared areas of the TV room, common pool and of course the traditional B&B breakfast offered us a great chance to meet the other guests. Honeymooners may want to select a more private cottage, but for us the Inn was a great experience. Internet access is available in the kitchen-dining area, so we kept up with the real world in between beach trips! A rental car is a must…but the Inn is not easy to find due to a lack of signage. Take a taxi when you arrive and rent a car the second day. The next door neighbor rents cars.

If this isn’t paradise, I don’t know what is!

missmomof5: Maine, My husband and I spent a week at the Inn, we have been to 5 or six islands and on many mini trips. This was the absolute best place we have ever stayed and the nicest island we have visited. Roger, Claudia and Linda made us feel welcome from the minute we landed at their door until the day we left. They not only have a clean, friendly atmosphere but also are extremely helpful with island information. We enjoyed talking, laughing and sharing stories with them. We have only been home a few days and are ready to go back. I would recommend this B&B to any couple. Thanks for making our anniversary so special.

A Perfect Vacation

GlutenFreeArizona: Arizona, My husband and I usually stay in larger and much more expensive properties. One year, on a whim, we decided to take a chance on Carrington’s Inn, a small bed and breakfast. What a delightful and rewarding surprise. Roger and Claudia are so friendly, welcoming, and hospitable that we return to stay with them in January 2010 on our fourth trip to CI in five years when we celebrate our wedding anniversary. We stay in the Periwinkle room and enjoy the spacious room and awesome views from the balcony. The inn is very handicapped friendly because you park close to the entrance and all rooms/amenities are on one floor. No stairs or long hikes! Breakfasts are such a treat plus Roger, Claudia, and Linda are gracious and anxious to make everyone’s trip a success. They take a personal interest in their guests (e.g., learned about geocaching from us) that we consider them friends, not merely innkeepers. I would definitely recommend this B&B in general and the Periwinkle room in particular to my friends. Claudia recommended we go to Armstrong’s for homemade ice cream. It was a trip but the local flavors and traditional ice cream flavors made us go daily. You can get Armstrong’s ice cream downtown, but the restaurant has more variety. She also recommended we kayak to Green Cay, snorkel around the cay, and enjoy iced tea at the adjoining resort. Great suggestions.

Most magical place to stay while in St. Croix!

naturegals: Newtonville, New York, My partner and I just returned from the beautiful island of St. Croix, and could not have been happier with our stay at the Carringtons Inn. Linda kept our room immaculately clean — the entire inn is very comfortable and immaculate. Roger & Claudia are wonderful innkeepers…very warm and caring. Our breakfasts were amazing, especially the homemade oatmeal and french toast. I am craving both now! The view from the inn in breathtaking — being perched on a hill, you have a breathtaking view of the town of Christiansted and the harbor. You feel the sea breezes, smell the salt air and truly feel as if you have stepped into paradise…and you have.

Best B&B I have ever stayed at, a home away from home

Mattybills: New York, NY, My girlfriend and I visited St. Croix during the 3rd week of June of 2010, but I just realized I hadn’t left a review for this amazing B&B. Roger and Claudia were the sweetest hosts I have ever encountered, and the free breakfast was to die for. Seriously this can not be stressed enough. I felt at home and welcomed the entire time I was there. The views of the harbor were amazing, and the room was very clean, and very, very comfortable. The next time I visit St. Croix there is no doubt I will be staying here. In the following 6 months my girlfried has mentioned to me numerous times “I wish we were at Carrington’s Inn right now. ” – Matt and Victoria

Comfortable B&B in a great location!

travelpatty: Townshend, Vermont, Spent 6 nights here and couldn’t have been more pleased. The owner, Roger, greeted us warmly and showed us to our room, the Flamboyant. The room was spacious with a king-size bed; very true to the pictures on their website. There is a colorful mural on one wall which added to the Caribbean feel. Our bathroom was large with two sinks, a shower/tub combo and great overhead fan. We had a good sized closet (with plenty of hangers) which contained a safe. The kitchenette area contained a coffee maker, small refrigerator, microwave and sink. There were glasses, dishes and flatware. The balcony had a table and two chairs and the view was lovely; overlooking Christiansted and the harbor. The lights at night were beautiful. The room was kept spotlessly clean (thank you Linda) and the breakfasts were varied and delicious. There is a nice pool as well as a sitting room with a large flat-screen TV. There was also complimentary rum available. Beach towels are provided and some snorkeling equipment (masks and snorkels but no fins). Roger was always available for questions or suggestions and we enjoyed meeting several other couples. The Inn can be a little tricky to find but Roger mentioned that he is going to re-do his driving directions. It is only a 5 minute drive to downtown Christiansted but feels private. The only thing I would change would be the separation of the outdoor spaces. Right now lattice separates the balconies and although you can’t see other guests you definitely can hear them. Inside the room however we never heard anyone. I would definitely recommend this B&B to those who enjoy staying in this type of accommodation. they are not for everyone.

Home Away from Home on St Croix! Great Stay!!

RobandNancy: Redondo Beach, California, Carringtons Inn is nothing short of wonderful! Roger and Claudia are fantastic hosts and really helped make our trip to the island so much better! The Inn is very quiet and is located close to (and above) Christiansted. The rooms are very clean and the bed was very comfortable. This is not a busy hotel with tons of amenities which is exactly what we were looking for. This is a typical B&B (well, above average B&B in my opinion) that does have a nice little swimming pool for relaxing. You have to drive everywhere from here but if you want to see the island, you have to drive no matter where you are staying. All in all, an awesome place to stay if you are looking for a quiet, clean, and comfortable place. We are going to come back and when we do, we will always stay here.

Paradise in the Heart of St. Croix

Citabria411: Saint Cloud, Minnesota, We had a wonderful stay with Claudia and Roger. Everything from reception to check-out was great. The view was incredible. The room was perfect. The breakfasts were scrumptious and filling. The company was welcome every morning. We will definitely be staying with them again.

The view is excellent

hrcalso: Grand Rapids, Michigan, If you want convenience of a city, don’t book here. If you want a beautiful view, then this is your place. I did not get a car but you really need one. Get specific directions to the B&B. It is not hard to get around with a car once you get your bearings. Taxi from airport is $20. The breakfast is excellent. The room was very big with a huge bath. My mission was to find a church that my grandfather helped build in the 60′s and I found it 1/2 mile from the B&B.

Me and Mi Hija-Springbreak

ATL57: Atlanta, Took a little trip with my 22 year old daughter during her Springbreak as a gift for her upcoming college graduation. Lovely B&B and great hosts, Claudia and Roger. Roger took special care to ensure my gluten free needs were taken care of and explained where to find beaches and sites. Island is slow pace but very friendly people. Enjoyed snorkeling at Buck Island reef, seeing sugar cane plantation, driving through rain forest and getting a fruit smoothie. Beaches were numerous, some with action and others off the beaten trail. I mastered left side driving in a day and a half. Strongly recommend B&B for a quiet respite from your busy lives.
